Tisha-Monique is no stranger to the industry. Tisha first brought her sultry vocals to our ears back in late 2002 as a member of the UK girl group THE411, signed to SONY music. Having shared the stage with the likes of Eminem, The Black Eyed Peas, Lionel Ritchie, as well as charting at No.3 in the UK Charts and touring across Europe, she now makes her return with ‘Leave Your Mind’, March 30th.

Jamaican born Tisha Monique discovered an urge to entertain from a very young age. Always making the most of any given opportunity. Having delved deep into the world of acting and enjoying resounding success Tisha once again encouraged her adventurous and hungry character by pursuing her true passion for singing. In late 2002 THE411 were formed. The groups first single, “on my knees”, featured Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan and was a huge hit in the UK.

Speaking candidly about singing and performing she claims that ‘no matter what happens a dream never loses its essence, and I will never lose my passion. An aspiration or a dream only dies if you allow it to do so. My future, my life is to sing, to make music. I will do everything to keep that alive.’

Now, making her return as a solo artist, Tisha returns with ‘Leave Your Mind’ a heart felt R&B balled. Speaking more on the track, Tisha explained “Leave Your Mind was written at a very painful time in my life. After the death or my mum, I was in a very dark place mentally emotionally and spiritually. The relationship I was in was my only support and comfort. The song comes from a place of depression and anxiety. A place of fear. Fear of being alone, fear of assumptions and fear of loss. It expresses the love I’ve been blessed to have, the support in that one-person I truly open up to and the fear I have of pushing them away through my journey of pain and grief.”

Tisha Monique is slowly working towards something new, fresh and exciting and something that will take everyone by storm. With ‘Leave Your Mind’ available to pre-save on March 22nd and set to release March 30th, she’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
