Backed by the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME), the 5th annual Play NYC  – the biggest, multi-day game convention in New York – returns, live and in-person to the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 W 18th Street) on August 7-8, 2021 to celebrate the return to playing, together.

People of all ages will experience 65+ games of all kinds (mobile, PC, tabletop, VR), game debuts, including five games created exclusively for Play NYC by diverse creators and sponsored by Rockstar Games, and more. Visit play-nyc.com for more details.

Proof of full COVID vaccination and a valid photo ID will be required for those in attendance. A negative test result taken within 48-hours will be accepted for children under 16.

In light of the CDC’s recent recommendation for fully vaccinated people to wear a mask in public indoor settings, Play NYC is also requiring that all staff, exhibitors, and attendees wear a mask while inside the Metropolitan Pavilion. Masks must meet the following requirements: have two or more layers, completely cover your nose and mouth fit snugly against the sides of your face without any gaps.

A mask will be provided to those who arrive without proper protection. For more information on proper masking, please visit the CDC’s Guide to Masks.
