Peso Pluma Sings and Dances His Corridos all over the AT&T Center in San Antonio

Corridos have been a tradition of music to listen to in a Mexican household. You would sit down after a long hard day of work and open that beer with your favorite music on the speakers. The stories you hear from these musicians will take your imagination into a different world of love, history, oppression, hard life, and more. Musician Peso Pluma has stormed onto the music scene with his own brand of corridos that have shaken the world. Each song that he has done and showcased tells a story that many can resonate to while others discover elements in the story that never fully realized before.

On July 16, Peso Pluma came to a sold out concert at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX! I was able to go by to review the show and see from my own eyes the phenom of Peso Pluma. What I witnessed was one of the best show’s I’ve been to in YEARS!

The line to get into the AT&T center was very deep as many people had been waiting there since 3PM in the scorching heat of Texas. Once 7PM came along, we were let into the arena to find our seats. After getting a good drink first, we got to our seats on the floor and waited anxiously for Peso Pluma. Around 8:30PM, Peso Pluma had a video vignette introducing his band members individually to the fans attending the show. Each band member talked about their instrument they play on the band and what Peso Pluma meant to them. Once the introductions were done, a countdown came on with a huge tarantula on the screens. Then without warning, Peso Pluma come out to a raunchous crowd that were screaming, whistling and yelling his name.

Peso Pluma started to sing to a few songs while dancing to each one which ignited the audience even more. Ever step Peso Pluma took at the AT&T Center had the women screaming their lungs out. Then Peso announced he had a special guest to come out for a few songs and he announced Jasiel Nunez in San Antonio! Together, they performed a trio of songs that had the arena singing and dancing which included Lagunas and Rosa Pastel.

Peso Pluma continued on the show performing songs from his latest album Genesis as well! Toward the middle of the show, Peso Pluma did a wardrobe change and came out wearing a San Antonio Spurs jersey. This got everyone riled up as the Spurs jersey he was wearing is number 1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama or Wemby for short. During the set, one of the songs I heard from Peso Pluma titled Lady Gaga became an instant favorite of mine. I haven’t heard that song from him until this show and I have to say, it got my attention.

Towards the end of the show, Peso Pluma performed Ella Baila Sola to one of the loudest singing crowds I heard EVER! You could feel the energy in the arena when Peso performed this song to the point where you can see him shouting along with the crowd ELLA! These are one of the moments you will never forgot while attending a show and it was epic. He ended the show with the track PRC while thanking the crowd attending the show and thanking his band as well.

10 out of 10!
