Penultiman #1 Comic Book Review

Penultiman is the hero that keeps on coming! He is exiled to the past by forces beyond him or we later find out his parental. Zev Zolo is out to destroy lower Manhattan with the pinball machine of doom, but our hero Penultiman makes it in time to stop him. While he was talking to Zev, he kind of tricked him into believing they could work together. Zev got very distraught by that and demanded to be arrested by the police officers instead of with Penultiman. Then Penultiman is called upon his parental to help save them from an enemy that they can’t conquer. Penultiman has his partner Antepenultiman become him while he is gone saving the future race of Earth. When he returns, there is a major change among his world. What will happen next?

I’m enjoying the different view of a superhero through these lenses. You see Penultiman go through emotions that many super heroes don’t go through. He yearns for a parental love as well as respect from his colleagues in his alter ego persona. He is shocked on the changes his partner does as he returns from the future. I think this would be a good way to see how his character grows with his understudy and give him more respect than he currently does!
