I got the chance to dive into the world of Peaky Blinders head first having not seen the series. I went into Peaky Blinders: Mastermind with fresh eyes and I must say I am hooked. The gameplay and story I felt were very smooth and the missions were fun and challenging. Not knowing the backstory I read all the dialog which is a lot but there is a skip option. It gave me a better look at the story.

The game has a rewind function to use to have other characters you engage with do things like open doors and gather items for you and more. The use of a switch between characters is used a lot and is critical to complete the tasks with in the missions. I will say the rewind did throw me off a bit but once I got the understanding of switching between characters it became easy to time everything.

Over a fun game, I am looking forward to seeing what more the game has to offer in gameplay and story as well the watch collecting in-game. Each level has a number of pocket watches to find during the mission. for fans of the show will feel like they’re in an episode and newcomers will want to dive deeper into the story with the show. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is out now on PC and all consoles.
