NTI new song nightdrive is out now!

British born Ghanian, NTI is a storyteller and artist based in the heart of London. Cultivating his sound in studio spaces and stages across the UK & Europe. NTI’s musical journey has seen him playing at Glastonbury and Wireless Festival, multiple playlist placements across BBC Radio 1/1Xtra  and working with some of the biggest writers in pop music. Now he unveils dreamy alternative R&B offering ‘nightdrive’. Produced by Jon Mills (Ashnikko, Khalid, LÉON, MadeinTYO), it perfectly encapsulates NTI’s blend of organic instrumentation, 808s and distinctive tone, with wandering lyrics about distant lands and lost loves.

“‘nightdrive’ was a song born in the wilderness. in between two spaces. some would say I was lost, I would say it’s the most at home I’d ever felt, in the wondering, in the questions, in the not knowing. I sat with Jon with no expectations, but I knew I was done telling stories that didn’t resonate with me anymore, and he switched on the mic and I freestyled this song about looking for a lost love in the early mornings of a LA trip I was 3 days into.” – NTI shares more on the inspiration behind the track.

The track was recorded in living rooms across Marbella, LA & London, as part of NTI’s upcoming EP ‘project one’, which is an exploration into self, the soundtrack to the triumphs and trials of a twenty something bound to a city that never sleeps.

Distributed on GRADUATION* (home to Brent Faiyaz, Flossie, BLXAST), and recently signing to UMPG, NTI’s goal is not only to add his voice to the beautiful landscape of British storytellers, fighting a pandemic that crippled an industry with a devotion to sharing art no matter the climate, but to make sure the noise he makes truly stands on its own two feet.
