I was able to try NBA 2k24 for my Xbox Series S using my Xbox Ultimate Game Pass subscription. I have to admit I haven’t played an NBA 2K game in many years. I was going through my Game Pass subscription and saw NBA 2K24 on my screen. I was like “Lets do it!” I started to download the game to my console. I did have to make some room on my Xbox console as it was a bit hefty at over 160GBS.
I know why it was so hefty! Once downloaded, I decided to try out the game. The intro was fantastic as it showed highlights of the NBA and was hooked. I did start at tutorials first as I wanted to make sure I’m pressing the right buttons when playing a game. After a few moments of learning, I was able to feel confident enough to play a game. I played with the default teams on the screen when you first load up the screen which included the NBA champs. Once the game started, noticed right away on how amazing NBA 2K24 is! The angles in the game was so damn good and there was no lag! This game was beyond what I have experienced in a sports game ever! I felt like I was on the court with the players and they looked so amazing! After my first game, which was a nail biting loss by two points, I decided to play another game. This time with different teams and noticed, while searching, you can pick different eras or years of multiple teams. I decided to go with the San Antonio Spurs with their all era team against the 94 Nuggets. This was fantastic as I had Duncan on the same team as George Gervin and looked really damn good!
One of the best games I’ve played in YEARS!

Pro:
- Game Angles
- The game angles looked so well shown throughout the court. I felt like I was on the floor with the team dribbling and shooting baskets.
- Era Teams
- Being able to play teams that had players you haven’t seen in years and lineup was pretty cool. I enjoyed some of those throwback games!
