Migration Review

Migration Review

I was able to take my family to Alamo Drafthouse Stone Oak location to watch the movie Migration. We were able to use a gifted Fandango gift card to purchase tickets for the early showing. I was able to order some food and drinks with an Alamo Drafthouse gift card gifted again from Christmas.

Our Thoughts

Pro:

  • Story
    • While living a quite and safe life, Mack enjoyed his small pond away from all the dangers of the world. His children and wife are away from any harms that could come to their world. His children meet Dax and Gwen meet other ducks that are visiting their pond for a rest spot while migrating South. Dax and Gwen convince their father Mack to make the journey to Jamaica that the other ducks are heading to. While on their trip to the South, the family meet new characters while in New York, another pond, and a few experiences.
  • Moon
    • This is a short that was played before the movie Migration about Vector from Despicable Me. In this short, Vector lands on the moon and is trapped. He is trying to find out different ways to leave the moon and end up back on Earth. While he is there, a minion lands on the moon. Vector is mean to the minion throughout the short until the ending. A funny short to extend the story of Vector from Despicable Me.

Con:

  • Moon should have been a full length movie
    • This isn’t a big con but the short that was played earlier in the moon was excellent. I love the story and the way it was shown in the theater. I really felt this short could have been a full length movie for the Illumination company.

Rating: 9 out of 10
