Midheaven Releases Creative Self-Made Music Video For Their Song “M.H.D”

Los Angeles, CA – Midheaven has released their latest music video for their single “M.H.D.” The acronym “Mental Health Decline” offers commentary on mental health challenges and issues that stem from them. Sonically combining alternative, dream pop, and new wave styles, Midheaven crafts a distinctive blanket of sound, immersing listeners in their singular universe. The music video is now available on YouTube.

The song initially presents itself with cheerful musical tones, but beneath this facade lies a profound shift in its message.  Band member Andy DeLuca sheds light on the complexities of his mental health struggles, sharing, “It’s challenging to convey my battle with depression to others due to a fear of negative reactions like judgment or rejection.” This perspective highlights the labor of passion and commitment, meticulously crafted by the talented duo of Midheaven. “M.H.D” showcases their magnetic ability to work together and create full worlds from scratch even from a place of depression, in order to move through their feelings in real-time by turning them into art and connecting with others from that place of vulnerability. The video was directed, filmed, and edited by Midheaven in their home. Notably, the intricate variations of the piece were further enhanced by Matthew Pauling (Blink 182, 5SOS, Good Charlotte), who lent his skills in mixing, mastering, and additional production.

Midheaven, the vibrant creation of Andy DeLuca and Sarah Eiseman, emerges from their unique blend of romance and artistic collaboration, which began during DeLuca’s 2018 tour in New York City. Sarah, an accomplished Polaroid and film photographer balancing her creative pursuits with a career in healthcare and elderly care, and DeLuca, a touring photographer, visual artist, and video director, found perfect synergy in their talents. Inspired by their shared love for 80s and 90s music, they crafted a distinctive blend of genres, with Eiseman’s poetic and vocal talents complementing DeLuca’s drumming and instrumental demos. Their debut single, “Heaven”, released in November 2023, showcases a mesmerizing fusion of ethereal shoegaze and new wave elements. M.H.D. gained praise from Last Day DeafGet Some Magazine, and Melodic.net. Leveraging their skills as interdisciplinary artists, they meticulously crafted their own visuals, single art, and press photos, all from their shared home, surrounded by their beloved shih-tzu, Pebbles, ready to share their unique sonic creations with the world.
