Metal Unit Suits Up For Early Access
Pixel-perfect action platformer fires forth heart-pounding combat on Steam

SEATTLE – Feb. 3, 2020 | Metal Unit, the sprawling roguelite platformer published by NEOWIZ and developed by JellySnow Studio, has officially released on Steam in Early Access, available now for $14.99 USD. A full release on Steam is planned for April 2020, with opportunities for hands-on demos at PAX East 2020 in Boston, Feb. 27 to Mar. 1.

Crafted in a beautiful sci-fi pixel-art style, Metal Unit is a 2D side-scrolling action packed experience telling the tragic story of humanity’s battle to reclaim its home from the clutches of monsters and machines. Employing classic roguelite elements, such as equipment and items on death, alongside a persistent, point based research tree, players will unlock new items and skills with every playthrough. With no shortage of weapons and attacks to choose from, players can easily adapt and gear every session towards their own unique playstyle.

Metal Unit has been a labor of love, one whose player-first experiences and artwork we are sure will delight fans of the roguelite, platformer, and indie communities alike,” said Tae Hoon Kim, Art Director at JellySnow Studio. “We can’t wait to see players outfit their personalized M-Unit 11 suits and decide how to regain control of Earth, and ultimately, forge the future of humanity!”

Packed with content, the Early Access release of Metal Unit includes two difficulty modes, Normal and Hell, three main stages and chapters, more than 50 unique enemy types, and hundreds of obtainable items to utilize.

Metal Unit is currently available on Steam Early Access for $14.99 USD, and will be available for 20% off during the initial two weeks. The game currently supports English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. A release on console is planned for later in 2020.
