Louie Blue is certainly making waves across the pop scene. With a style and personality that shines
immediately, Louie possesses a sort of charisma and charm that is expressed solely through the soulful, dance
pop music he creates. Bursting onto the scene in 2019, he quickly grabbed the attention of Sony Finland and
shortly after released his debut EP ‘Notes’ in 2020 which was critically acclaimed and a statement record for
Louie with a debut album coming this fall. He has shown no signs of slowing down and has continued his climb
with his latest single ‘Spaceman’.
There is a clear jazz influence which has inspired Louie’s playful pop sound. His songs always include a
bassline groove which sets the mood for the track, and ‘Spaceman’ sets the same precedent, creating the
perfect platform for Louie to showcase his melodic flow and unique vocal ability. His voice ebbs and flows
between the spaces of the chilled, ambient style of sonics, resulting in a hugely potent and addictive modern
day pop sound. It’s enhanced, with a sublime production with synth elements that really set his sound apart
from the everyday norm.
‘Spaceman’ draws on the feeling of being anxious and lonely. The constant upbeat and cheerful production
really hits home the narrative that being lonely doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing, and Louie channels
this energy into the perfect Summer time tune that you won’t stop listening to.
Louie Blue explains the meaning behind ‘Spaceman’:
“Spaceman is a track about anxiety and loneliness and it describes the feeling when you just want to
get out of all the hustle and bustle, to somewhere far away. Fly along the orbit and float like an
astronaut. For me loneliness can also mean freedom, and that is what this song is about.”
