Power Rangers stars Jason David Frank, Jason Faunt, Cerina Vincent, and Ciara Hanna reunite for their heroic new adventure, LEGEND OF THE WHITE DRAGON, debuting early on Digital September 22, before landing on 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray™ Combo and DVD October 20 from Well Go USA Entertainment. In the spirit of the classic Power Rangers franchise but with a grittier, mature take on the genre, this sci-fi action adventure follows the White Dragon as he returns to fight the vengeful Dragon Prime after a catastrophic event. Successfully crowdfunded via Kickstarter, LEGEND OF THE WHITE DRAGON is the first feature film by Aaron Schoenke and is the final performance and a fitting tribute to fan-favorite icon Jason David Frank. The film also stars Aaron Schoenke, Rachele Brooke Smith, Michael Madsen (Kill Bill, The Hateful Eight), Andrew Bachelor, David Ramsey (“Arrow”), and Mark Dacascos (John Wick: Chapter 3).
I was able to get a screening link to review Legend of the White Dragon in my home. I’m a huge fan of Jason David Frank and have met him before at a convention in Houston, TX. With that being said, the trailer for the movie looked intense! I was hooked by just watching the trailer below:
The story is amazing in this movie. I’m not going to spoil much at all, but the story is written very well. After a defeat, the White Dragon goes into hiding. While in hiding, he is being hunted by hired hunters as he is public enemy number one by the news. With a piece of the crystal in the wrong hands, there is someone who is obsessed with getting revenge on the White Dragon. I’m going to stop there…watch it…you will understand. I can’t put into words on how well the story is and different connections are shown throughout the movie.
With this being Jason David Frank’s final movie, his acting moments was pure amazing. You can see the emotion during certain scenes that signify on how powerful his character is. There is a moment during the movie that is a tear jerker for sure. I had to stand up and walk away from my laptop when I saw this. JDF did a great job in this movie and the cast as well!
You will enjoy this movie!
