Nella’s journey through her series of visual work releases from her album En Otra Vida, has been marked by her ability to breathe new life into soulful songs from her childhood. Her recent video piece for “Te Espero Sentada,” originally written and performed by Shakira, showcased her talent for infusing her contemporary style into iconic tracks. “Que Bonito” continues this trend with its intimate in-studio recording images that highlight the authenticity and emotion of the performance.
Featured alongside Nella in this new video, is Maye, an emerging artist known for her smooth vocals and fresh approach to Latin pop. Her collaboration with Nella on “Que Bonito” brings a delightful harmony that enhances the song’s emotional depth and charm.
Another standout track from the album is “Veinte Años,” featuring Nella and Yendry. This duet offers a haunting rendition of the Cuban classic by María Teresa Vera. The music video, directed by Fernando Manuelle, represents the discomfort and frustration of unreciprocated love, using striking images of ladybugs and worms crawling on the face and arms to capture the song’s emotional essence.
Performing at the Latin American Music Conference (LAMC) in New York City from July 9-13, Nella will take the stage at the Sony Music Latin Showcase at DROM on July 9th. This highly anticipated performance will place the singer songwriter in front of a diverse and influential audience, further establishing her presence in the industry.
Nella’s latest album, En Otra Vida, released on May 3rd, immerses listeners in a universe of talent and creativity, offering new renditions of iconic songs with a deeply personal touch. Produced by Ale Acosta, the album features collaborations with some of today’s best female voices, including Yendry, Paula Arenas, Nicole Zignago, Maye, and GALE.
