Fast-paced competitive platformer
Jumpala - Multiplayer Competitive Platforming | Coming to Steam!
Atlanta, GA –April 20, 2020– Independent development studio Yokereba is planning to release their fast-paced multiplayer competitive platformer Jumpala (jum-PAH-lah) later this year on Steam.
Jump on platforms to turn them your color and collect points before reaching the top. Build your Special Meter to activate your character’s special moves and try not to fall off the stage!
“As with my previous game, Jumpala is a love letter to Spryjinx, a game I played as a child,” says Makario Lewis, solo dev at Yokereba. “I wanted to capture the feelings I had when playing Spryjinx, and add some modern twists like special abilities and cool characters.”
Jumpala will be released in Early Access and it will include four playable characters, five stages, local and online play, and keyboard and gamepad support.
Features
  • 4-player competitive action. Compete with your friends in fast-paced free for alls, or team up in 2v2 matches. No friends? Go up against challenging CPUs, or compete against others in online 1v1s.
  • Easy to learn, tough to master. If you want to be the best, you’ll have to plan your routes, practice your timing, and perfect your positioning—all while being mindful of your opponents.
  • A wide variety of stages. Each stage has unique features and hazards to watch out for.
  • Original set of characters. Each character has their own unique abilities and playstyle.
Additional Information
About Yokereba
Yokereba (良ければ、pronounced yoh-KEH-reh-bah) is a Japanese phrase meaning “if it’s good” or “if it’s okay with you”. Makario Lewis is using this company as a storehouse for his creative endeavors. His first public game, The Vigil Files: Case 1 (Android), was released to the public in 2018. In mid-2019, Makario decided to get a little more serious about game development—at least for a little while—so he started Yokereba as a company for his first PC game, Jumpala.
