WarnerMedia House Hosts DC Fan Activation March 11 – March 13

CreateMe Space Hosts a First-Of-Its-Kind Bespoke Product Creation Featuring DC Super Heroes on March 12

Join DC and Warner Bros. Consumer Products at the SXSW WarnerMedia House, 315 Lavaca St., from March 11th to March 13th for an interactive gallery and fan activation celebrating DC storytelling from comics to film, TV, publishing, games, consumer products, and more. The activation will be open 10:00am Central to 8:00pm Central Friday through Sunday.

The space will highlight DC’s iconic characters and showcase authentic film and TV costumes and props, including the Batsuit from this year’s blockbuster film THE BATMAN, and costumes and props from the hit HBO Max Original series PEACEMAKER, as well exclusive DC product reveals from Puma and Carhartt, and rarely shown highlights from DC’s archive. There will be multiple giveaways every day, first-come first-served, including collectibles like DC Funko Pops, comic books, and LEGO®.

The activation will also introduce fans to DC Hybrid Trading Cards by Hro, a new platform that combines the physical and digital world and allows fans to unlock the DC Multiverse and collect, trade, and buy the first ever DC-based hybrid NFT trading cards featuring their favorite DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains. Hro will give fans the opportunity to own a physical trading card with an NFT component, bringing blockchain technology together with physical in-store presence for the first time.

The ground floor of the WarnerMedia house is open to the public with lots of photo and social opportunities to get fans excited about everything DC in 2022. Fans will also be invited to the “Bat Cave” in the garage to check out the Batmobile from Matt Reeves’ THE BATMAN.

On Friday at 2:30 pm Central in the WarnerMedia House, Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) will be hosting an adult animation panel with creative executives from WBA and HBO Max, alongside producers from HARLEY QUINN. They’ll be talking about bringing beloved and familiar characters, including the Clown Princess of Crime, to the screen, as well as the storytelling possibilities that can be unlocked when you have the creative freedom to stretch iconic characters beyond a family-friendly tone.

Austin area fans can also head over to the CreateMe Space at 318 E. 5th St. on Saturday, March 12th, from 11:00am Central to 7:00pm Central (21+), to customize gear with DC’s fan-favorite characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Green Lantern. CreateMe is debuting its experiential retail customization technology in SXSW,  which powers product co-creation through embellishment, embroidery, vintage upcycling, and more, allowing fans to show off their favorite characters exactly how they want.

The CreateMe Space will feature four kiosks that will allow fans to create custom designs on select items from water bottles to hats and more. Fans can also explore the lounge, a photo booth and stick around for happy hour with live music.
