Jamie Wooding follows on from the success of ‘Same Old Reasons’ through the hook ridden pop song ‘JEALOUS’. Still only 21 years of age, the Liverpool singer-songwriter has certainly made a name for himself already in a city full of musical heritage and history, and doesn’t look out of place. His melodies catch instantaneously with the ear, hitting those notes that everyone wants and craves for.

Bursting onto the scene in 2020, the rising pop singer songwriter has released a plethora of singles receiving highly acclaimed press support from the likes of CLASH Magazine. Wooding has built on his previous releases with continued support from BBC Introducing. Alongside Introducing Jamie also received strong support from Amazing radio on his last single which has secured 12 plays so far with the popularity for the track growing each week.

Written by Wooding himself, produced by Sugar House (Viola Beach, Larkins etc) and mastered by Grammy Nominated engineer Robin Schmidt (Liam Gallagher, The 1975 etc), His latest track ‘JEALOUS’ is bold, expansive, addictive and packed full of synth lines and a melodic hook that is now becoming a consistent trait for Jamie’s signature and modern day pop sound.

“For me this song is about being in awe of someone, wanting them to know how you feel, but being scared to say anything. Feeling Jealous they’re not with you,” explains Jamie, on the meaning of the song. “There’s a lyric in the chorus ‘Yeah I get Jealous, seeing everything you do, watching your body move all around the room’. That lyric sums up the song for me. The idea of someone acting in a certain way that makes you jealous is something I think everyone can relate to in their own way”.

Jamie Wooding has certainly found his own niche with his electro-pop songs that will certainly grab your attention and more importantly, keep it. With an impressive listenership on Spotify already of over 70k streams as well as other support behind him, Jamie has his sights set on being the next big thing from Liverpool. With the instantaneous and catchy ‘JEALOUS’ on the horizon, it also comes partnered with a simple and intimate video of a live version, recorded simply with piano and vocals, dropping August 13th. Jamie seems poised to carry on the success, making his mark on the industry one single at a time.
