February 24, 2025 (Spring, TX) – Actor, author, producer, and Bad Boy Hot Sauce co-creator Sean Kanan joins the 2025 slate of entertainment at POP CULTURE CON on March 15 -16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwood Village. Film fans may recognize Kanan for his portrayal of Mike Barnes in Karate Kid Part III and Cobra Kai, while soap fans know him as A.J. Quartermaine (General Hospital) and Deacon Sharpe (The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless). Here’s your chance to meet him and more fan-favorite guests from the worlds of anime, comics, voice acting, and entertainment. Ticket prices range from $19.99 to $29.99, and kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.   • Jim Starlin– Leading creative force in the comic book industry for over four decades. Known for many iconic characters: Iron Man, Batman, the Avengers, and the Justice League. Under Marvel Comics, Thanos, the lynchpin villain of Marvel’s current “Cinematic Universe,” and Drax the Destroyer & Gamora of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY.   • Larry Hama– Writer, Artist, Editor, and Actor. Best known as the writer of Marvel’s GI JOE and WOLVERINE comics in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
  • Angel Medina– Former Comic Book Artist for Marvel Comics and Image Comics. Best known for his work on The Incredible Hulk, Warlock and the Infinity Watch, The Amazing Spider-Man, Venom, Spawn and Kiss: Psycho Circus, based on the rock music group Kiss.
  • Dave Wilkins– Art Director and Concept Artist in the gaming industry, currently works as lead artist on the ONE DND team for Wizards of the Coast.
  • Dirk Strangely– Creator of the beloved book series Darkened Bedtime Stories For Children, Pumpkin The Zombie Cat, and Strange Stories For Strange People. He is also a featured artist in volume 2 of Jim Henson’s Legends Of The Dark Crystal.
  • David Roman– A Rick and Morty comic book artist under Adult Swim, Oni-Press and Cryptozoic. He has also created art for Lucas Film, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, Marvel Premier, and Steven Universe under Topps, Upperdeck and Cryptozoic.
