Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?
For us it’s a variety of inspirations. It can be from our own experiences or stories we would like to tell, to interpreting a scenario in a certain way.
We are all drawn to creating music and love doing it. It’s our way of communicating how we feel as a band in our own way and style.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
For me (Hywel), I grew up on a lot of what my parents listened to which was Phil Collins, Genesis, Depeche Mode, Queen etc. As I got older I fell in love with the alternative side to music and metal in general.
I grew up on Killswitch Engage, Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine, The Audition etc
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
Not so much for me, the band in general is about anti idolism so the idea of putting someone on a pedestal is against my way of thinking.
I draw inspiration from bands like The Devil Wears Prada & Make Them Suffer. I take the inspiration and use that to create our own form of music.
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
Probably Artist Management, I enjoy helping bands out and seeing the music they create reach as many people as possible
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?
Experiment and keep writing. Just keep making music, you might write something very simple and over time it builds into a song. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone as you may find something that works really well for you.
Just keep creating and it will all come with time
