Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?

I just like music as a means of expression. It’s not really my surroundings. The creative process is really interesting to me. Today, there’s a lot of music out every day. But only you can write what you want to write.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

I had a short rap period in my early days. Then during a German class, one of my classmates showed us a Rammstein video (for the Rammstein song from their first album). I was very impressed at the time. That’s how I fell into the rock and metal scene. From ‘soft’ and well-known bands as Linkin Park or 30 Seconds To Mars. And then to heavier bands.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

Kyo from Dir En Grey. Such a versatile singer. He knows how to pass every emotion.

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

Well, being a musician is not my job, so I guess I’ll still be an engineer. If I wasn’t playing music, I would still draw probably though.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?

Just do it and stick to it, I believe there is an audience for everyone. Of course, as there are so many actors today, standing out is very difficult. However, remember that all bands that are now exploding have been doing this for many years. Nobody in metal music becomes well known from their first song or first album. If you have the passion, just try and get better each time. If you what you do is qualitative, people will notice it. Just don’t be too impatient.
