Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?
I am inspired by a lot of life experiences. Music is a type of therapy for me, so it feels great to get things off of my chest by writing it out. I do get influenced by my surroundings as well. There’s a type of beauty in every thing and situation.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
I grew up listening to NüMetal. Some of my favorites are KoRn, Slipknot, and Mudvayne. I discovered Electronic music as I got into high school, and that really influenced my music style today. I wanted to try to combine the heaviness of NüMetal with the vibe of Electronic music.
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
When I was younger, I was really inspired by Munky of KoRn. I started playing guitar when I was 12 and discovered KoRn a year later. I loved that they played on 7 string guitars and had this sound that I hadn’t been exposed to before. I started playing 7 string guitars shortly after.
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
I pursued nursing in high school, and have an expired Professional Rescuer certificate. I spent some time working in emergency rooms and morgues. It was a very fast paced experience.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?
Never give up on your craft!! There will be wonderful times, and hard times when trying to achieve milestones. Always stay focused on what you’re doing and set small goals for yourself leading up to a bigger goal.
