Today, we sat down with Swaza6 to discuss their start in music, latest song, and much more! Be sure to check out the social media pages and music of Swaza6 below after the interview!
Interview:
How did you get your start in music?
Forming Swaza6 was uncompromisingly raw. United by our conviction that we’re fucking dope – and when you’re dope, you do dope shit.
What type of music did you listen to while growing up? Our diverse influences run deep: – Sin Savio: Yodilating bands from Cebu, Philippines – Dark Lord Ravyn: Indigenous sheep herder music from Belgium – FHEDESH: Presbyterian Christian bands from Haiti.
What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?
Fun stories from the studio? One unforgettable night, we pushed boundaries. High on drugs, we lined up three mysterious lines – angel dust laced with DMT, Dried crystals from frog testicles, and crack finely chopped-up from our local crackhead’s teeth. Lights off, we savored the uncertainty.
What is your latest song or album you can share with us?
We ditched traditional EPs and albums for singles. Our latest release: “Blackbirds.” Considering the shrinking attention span, we’re exploring 15-second songs.
Where can our fans find you on social media for any music updates?
Social media presence? Find Swaza6 on: – Instagram (@swaza6) – Facebook (@swaza6) – haters included – YouTube (Swaza6 Official) – Our website – Tick Tock (though we feel too old for that shit) Stay tuned. Best, Swaza6
