Interview:

How did you get your start in music?

All the band members have been active musicians for many years, both in Sinister King and other projects. The stories about how we got started in music are different for each member, but Sinister King grew out of a metal band called Camp Loco.

What type of music did you listen to while growing up?

Dream Theater was an important band for all of us. Of course, the usual suspects such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and AC/DC. We are metalheads, so if you name a famous metal band most of us we have most probably listened to it.

What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?

The band went to Demningen studio in Bergen already in 2010. We were not sufficiently prepared for that and wanted to do changes to the songs while in the studio. Meanwhile, the meter was running. In the end it became an expensive experience, and we realized that we would have to rely on recording and mixing music in our home studio as well.

What is your latest song or album you can share with us?

We just released our debut-EP “All is Vanity”, and all of you should definitely check it out.
