Interview:
How did you get your start in music?
(Nikos) -Growing up I started listening to classic rock at about the age of 12 and at the age of 14 I started playing the drums. At the age of 16 i did my first gigs with several bands and after a break I had for some years ,I decided to follow my dream and this time it got serious about forming a classic rock band.
(Marios) I started playing the piano when I was 5 years old and then got into classical music studies. Nevertheless I always loved classic rock and the sense of freedom that music gives you. As the lead singer of the band I didn’t sing before we form this band with Nikos but I guess…It was ment to be.
Rock N’ Road was formed during a roadtrip at the edge of a mountainside ,as we were talking about our favourite music and lifestyle…
What type of music did you listen to while growing up?
I guess we already covered this question above,but some of our favourite bands had always been Led Zeppelin,Rainbow,Deep Purple,Black Sabbath,bands that also affected our playing a lot!
What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?
We didn’t think that this would be such a difficult question! Most of the times we have great moments full of laughing and fun and jokes and lots of positivity and inspiration.
We really cant just refer to one story as we have fun through lives ,recordings ,rehearsals or even just hanging around with eachother . In addition some situations cant be mentioned…publicly!
What is your latest song or album you can share with us?
Our latest song that was released is “Mind Over Matter” and it marks the beginning of a circle of creation that will be completed till June 2024. The name of this creation circle is “The Midnight tale” .
