Today we have the privilege to sit down with Ren Marabou and discuss music, inspiration and much more! Be sure to check out his music on Spotify below!
Here is the interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?
I find alot of inspiration from my awesome family and friends but my strong feelings on World issues always gives me something to write about. Inspiration is everywhere.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
I was lucky growing up during the explosion of the grunge scene. Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and a little later Silverchair and Bush all had a huge influence on me growing up.
Is there someone you looked up to as a hero?
I have so many musical Heroes. A few would be Daniel Johns, Gavin Rossdale, Richie Kotzen, Michael Amott, Liam Cormier, Tuomas Saukkonen and Einar Selvik. Non musical heroes would be my parents. Pair of Legends!!!
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
I’d probably have some involvement in the music industry or the arts in some shape or form. Can’t beat letting your creativity out.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?
Hone your craft, love your art and create honestly.
