We got our necks ready to bang and arms flexing to do some epic guitar solos! We are here with the metal band Pressure to talk music, daring to live and more!

Here is the Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?

We call our music Story Metal. Our music comes from stories around us and that we have experienced ourselves. So the biggest inspiration to write comes from all the stories that needs to be told. We always say that to do music about life and to really make people feel something you have to dare to live life to get that kind of experiences. We collect stories and use them in our music both for our lyrics but also for our melodies, moods and the whole song

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

All of us in the band has listened to different kind of music growing up. So we have brought a lot of different background and genres into this band. Its everything from classical and jazz to metal and punk! It’s a good thing to have such a diversity of styles to fall back on. It’s the same thing as that we all have been playing different genres before the band so we try to harvest the best things from all of the styles.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

There is a lot of heroes out there. Both musicians and others. We look up to people who stand up for what they believe in. But the true heroes are the common and “normal” people, the working class hero who doesn’t get the attention that he or she deserves but always gives the best they got. Doing the hard work, providing for their families, and never surrenders. A big and warm thank you to all of you out there. We in the band see you and are your greatest admirers.

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

My guess would be that Emil would be doing some crazy inventions that no one else could think of. Olof would be a world famous baker and inventor of a new bread and Simon would probably be working as a very strict personal trainer!

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?
Stay true to yourself and write about things around you. Collect ideas! A good thing is to record small things on your phone, if it just be a small piece of a melody or a quote or whatever. You think you will remember but you won’t! Practice your instrument. Watch and learn from others. Be humble! And the most important thing of all! HAVE FUN! Music is much more than a hobby. It’s a lifestyle!
