This next band should be on everyone’s radar for the new music they are coming out with. They spent 2020 just writing and creating more sounds for new songs and so far its coming out very good. We sat down with Poison Oak to talk music, inspiration and much more!

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?
Basically yes. Everything that experience in life is an inspiration to write. As music is an artform which is a representation life. We also had musical influences as well.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
Smashing Pumpkins, Silverchair, Powderfinger, Frenzal Rhomb, The Vines, Led Zeppelin are just a few of bands I listened to in my teenage years.
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
If you asked me this question ten years I would probably have an answer for you.. But no not really at that the moment.
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
Well I’m high school teacher as my main profession, so probably that. Otherwise investigative journalism, or the police force following the investigation route.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?
Create want you want, there’s nothing really to stop you. However, have you have big goals and over zealous expectations… then you’re in it for the wrong reasons.
