Today, we sat down with Overhate to talk their start in music, types of music they listened to growing up and much more! Be sure to follow Overhate on social media and listen to their latest track on Youtube below after the interview!
Interview:
How did you get your start in music?
It all started for me when i listened to ‘and justice for all’ by Metallica. Then I discovered through a friend Kreator’s ‘Coma of Souls’ and that pretty much summed it all up.
What type of music did you listen to while growing up?
Black / Death / Thrash metal and Grindcore mostly. If it didn’t have blast beats and an
album cover by Dan Seagrave I didn’t bother to listen lol. Also, King Diamond, Wasp, Iron
Maiden, Black Sabbath, Crowbar, there are a lot of bands from other genres that were
certainly a good influence to me.
What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?
Well, not much, because we’ve recorded the first two albums on studios but the budget was tight… so we really focused on getting them done.
Also, when we recorded ‘Relentless is our Strengh’ we did a studio diary video where you can see how it all went down, but there weren’t any funny stories to say. Both recordings went down smoothly and we got out the best we could’ve offer (sorry for that lol).
What is your latest song or album you can share with us?
Our last album is called ‘New beginnings are met’, it is pour best one yet, and you are all going to love it!
Where can our fans find you on social media for any music updates?
Facebook, Instagram, and all music streaming platforms. We’re everywhere! Lol.
