Interview with Karine Hannah

Today, we sat down with Karine Hannah to talk her start in music, fun stories in the studio and much more. Be sure to check out her latest track titled Jump on Spotify right after the interview.

Interview:

How did you get your start in music?
I started my career by doing local musical theatre, and singing with a 12 piece orchestra. Then I recorded a demo that got in the hands of a big record producer/songwriter by chance & the rest is history.
What type of music did you listen to while growing up?
I listened to top 40 radio, which was primarily mainstream pop music. But I also listened to female jazz artists and big vocalists like Streisand.
What are some fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio making music?
Well, the best story I have is from my recording sessions with the legendary Jim Steinman. I would get to the recording studio early in the day, but we would spend most of the time eating sushi and hanging out. He was usually ready to start recording vocals very early in the morning, sometimes 7 AM just when I am exhausted physically and vocally and that’s when he liked to record. He got a specific sound out of my voice by waiting till I was tired LOL. That was quite an experience.

What is the latest song or album you can share with us?
I have a single out now called “Jump”. It’s a reimagined cover of the classic Van Halen song.
Where can our fans find you on social media for any music updates?
