Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?
So our inspiration for our music kind of depends on the album you listen to too. Enemy Lines is about the corruption of the government, the hard times of war, and conspiracy theories. Then with Graveyard Songs it was more of an Interpersonal look at our lives like feeling sick all the time, falling in love with someone that you can never have, or having your life circle down the drain.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
As a child it was the dad rock that my dad listened to in the car. As I got older though I developed a taste for more heavier bands like suicide silence, arch enemy, or whitechapel though.
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
Anyone who is a good parent to me is a real hero. It’s not an easy job. Going through the foster system I had multiple parents and no ones perfect however as long as you try to make a difference in your child’s life that’s being a real hero in my book.
If you weren’t a musician, where would you be doing today?
I would probably be working with handicap adults or doing social work. I was going to school for it for a while and would love to return eventually however it was hard multitasking everything plus work, music, and family.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?
Enjoy the Journey. Don’t be so worried about the destination. Just remember to make music because you love it.
