Interview with IMMORTALIZER

Today, we sat down with Immortalizer for this badass interview to talk their start in music, type of music listened to growing up and much more! Be sure to follow them on social media and check out their music below after the interview!

How did you get your start in music?

I became obsessed with music when I was very young. My uncle was a professional drummer in the 80’s & 90’s and he was a huge influence on me. I got my first drum set when I was 9 years old. A few years later I taught myself to play guitar, sing, play bass and keyboards as well. From there my love of music grew and grew and it wasn’t long before I was recording and performing as well.

What type of music did you listen to while growing up?

I listened to all kinds of music as a kid thanks to my father’s massive record collection. I listened to Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Boston, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Van Halen, The Doors, Rush and KISS. By the time I was 13 I got into heavier music like Motörhead, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, White Zombie, Megadeth and Metallica and shortly after discovered Saxon, Primal Fear, Helloween and many more!

What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?

One funny story that happened recently was my lady’s cat snuck into my studio while I was recording and jumped on my computer stand and my computer came crashing down unplugging everything and nearly taking down a nearby studio monitor. She ran back upstairs like a bat out of Hell totally freaked out haha. It was irritating in the moment, but funny afterwards.

What is your latest song or album you can share with us?

Well, in a few days I’ll be releasing my next single “Gone To Hell” which I think Immortalizer fans will really enjoy. I’m also currently recording another single “Cut Loose” while I continue to write and record the full-length album.
