Today, we sat down with Hole in the Frame to discuss their inspiration to write music, heroes, and much more! Be sure to check out the music of Hole in the Frame below on Spotify after the interview.
Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?
We are inspired by the frustration that we feel every day in our lifestyle; the anger to the social inequities. We write about the discrepancies created by the capitalistic system; the sense of unconsciousness that clouds the mind of every one of us. This system chews us and spits us, and we do not realize this. For this reason, we want to follow our fight through music!
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
A lot of artists inspired us, like Pantera, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Slipknot, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rush, and more others. We must thank our parents for their music imprinting! We feel so lucky!
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
We think that there are many heroes around us who fight every day for what they believe in; for the unfairness, the violation of rights or the inequalities. There are many characters who changed the inertia of the story. We believe that there’s a hero inside each of us and we have to seek it in our introspective journey.
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
We think that we would be good in whatever we chose, because we face life with passion and dedication. Anyway, we would have been musician one way or another.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?
Believe in who you are and never stop dreaming! Music in something deep but very simple to change the perception of reality. Music helps us not to think of adversity and a valuable tool to get to know people well.
Music is life!
Thanks for your time! Greeting from Italy!
