Here is our interview with Hip Hop artist Mollie Blanco:
What is your inspiration to write your music?
Is it your surroundings? Yes ,the energy of my surroundings is exactly what inspires my music. Along with many other things like how im feeling or how those around me are feeling.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
I grew up listening to all kinds of music. When i was a kid, my mom would listen to music while cleaning the house. Some of my favorites were The Isley Brothers , Madonna, The Fugees , Pink , Eve and Missy Elliot most importantly.
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
For sure, my mother is still and always will be my hero. Till this day i still look up to her. She has this kindness in her heart for others thats really rare. So i idolize her for that reason.
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
If i wasn’t a musician what would i be doing today. I don’t see myself doing anything other than music. So if anything the roles would just switch up for me. I be behind the scenes, making what i do, happen for another person. Who would be equally as passionate for this music as i am.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music? My advice for those who are intrested in creating music. Ask yourself what exactly it is you want out of creating music. Is it a hobby or is it something you would like to make a career out of. That will give you some direction to the most important advice i can give you. Which would be educate and invest in yourself. One more time louder for the people in the back ! Educate and invest in yourself. Your first supporter is going go be you and dont forget to have fun doing it .
