Interview:
How did you get your start in music?
We were formed during the fall of 2010, initially as a live cover band, but we soon began to compose our own original material.
5 years later, and after we had already recorded a 3-track demo, we released their first EP “Sadistic Leader” which received very good reviews.
After many setbacks and line-up changes, the band self-produced and released “Lockdown Sorrow” single & “Whispers Over the Sky” EP in 2020.
Immediately after the release of “Whispers Over the Sky” EP, we began working on older tracks that had never been recorded before and also composing new material, we started out creating the first full-length album of Hard Disk Drive entitled “Immortal Nightmares” which will be released on October 4, 2021 in digital format.
What type of music did you listen to while growing up?
Our singer Dinos and our guitarist Paris grew up worshiping Iron Maiden while our drummer was a die-hard Thrash Metal fan. With time of course all of us delved into the full spectre of heavy music, particularly with bands such as Judas Priest, Savatage, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Axel Rudi Pell, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Paradise Lost, Poisonblack, Nevermore etc.
What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?
Trying to record straight after work, in the middle of the worldwide pandemic lockdown
made the procedure the epitomy of spinal-tap black humor.
Indicatevely screaming through each other via Teams, hundreds of sloppy takes in the recording process and lack of patience from our drummer/producer drove us crazy but now is fun to look back into.
What is your latest song or album you can share with us?
We just released our first single entitled “Babylon Nephilim” off of our upcoming album IMMORTAL NIGHTMARES which you can find in all major digital platforms.
