Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?

Musically our songs often develop from band jams, with each member adding some unique flavour to the pot. Joe provides the lyrics for the songs and will take inspiration from anywhere really. Common themes cover heartaches, nights out, hangovers and an occasional triumph now and then!

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

Growing up we remember exciting releases from bands like the Artic Monkeys, The Black Keys, The Strokes, The Foo Fighters and many more. We have also always had a love for many old school bands from the 90s, 70s, and 60s that have influenced how we play now.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

Our bands collective hero is Crispian Mills of Kula Shaker. We all bonded over their epic tune Start All Over and its never left us since. We are heading to Victorious Festival this year to catch them live in person, hopefully one day we can share the stage or collaborate together!

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

Its hard to imagine as it takes up so much of our time now!  I imagine we would need a different creative outlet, maybe some of us would be artists or authors or we would probably travel a lot more! We also wouldn’t be as tired.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?

Go big or go home! Releasing music takes a lot of time, dedication and money for it to get any attention at all. Its important to have your music professionally recorded, produced, and mastered so that it sounds the best it possibly can! When it comes to playing live its important that you always enjoy it, whether its in front of 3 people or a hundred! Have fun and always give it everything!
