Today, we sat down with Eloah to talk their inspiration to write music, heroes and much more!
Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?
No, inspiration comes from within. It can be an emotion, it can be a sudden stream of words and chords, it may be triggered by different surroundings – but the source is within.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
Mostly soft rock, some classical music, singer/songwriter music, and heavy metal.
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
I have had many childhood heroes. In the music world, I especially admired (and admire) Herman van Veen.
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
I would continue to do research, teach, and manage research projects (which is actually my job next to being a musician).
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?
Do it. It is now easier than ever. Play the stuff you like, work and practice hard – but make sure you enjoy working hard, then you are on the right track!
