Today, we sat down with Dynoride to talk music writing, heroes and much more! Be sure to check out their music below on Spotify after the interview!

Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?

Most of our songs are about movies, pets, and memories of unfortunate events that we now laugh about.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

We were beginning to get into music in the early 90s and much of what we started out listening to learning to play was music that was popular at that time. Nirvana, Everclear, The Offspring, and many other groups who were popular during the era of grunge were in our music collections.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

We have a lot of influences, but our sound is probably most greatly influenced by late 80s/early 90s rock. It was around this time we were beginning to learn our instruments and, naturally, we were playing songs that appealed to us. If I had to distill it down to just one thing that caught our attention it was the energy in those songs. As creatures of habit, those sounds and that energy have leaked into everything we’ve played.

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

Probably stay at home dads.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?

Don’t overthink it. Get together with some friends and have a good time with it. Anything beyond having fun is just icing on the cake.
