Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?
The inspiration comes from everywhere! My mood, the mood that the melody creates inside of me, as well as my surroundings. I try to roll with whatever the emotion is and tell the story that comes out of that emotion.
I listened to a wide range of music. My mom was always playing Motown. I was into 90s hip hop and R&B. I love classic rock and 80s pop. I had eclectic taste and I think that’s reflected in the music that I make.
Acting? Lol..I think I was always going to be an entertainer. I’m an only child, so we like to do things that get us the most attention lol.
Stay true to yourself and the music that you want to make. Don’t chase fads or trends or try to mimic others. Definitely draw inspiration from others, but make it your own and find your voice and don’t be afraid to evolve your sound as you evolve as a person. Your music should reflect who you are in that moment or who you think you are in that moment.
