Today, we sat down with Crama to discuss their start in music, news about their latest album, and much more! Be sure to check out the social media pages and music of Crama below after the interview!

Interview:

How did you get your start in music?

It goes way back. In the early 90’s while we were studying at the University. We were joking around and drinking while listening to music when the idea came up. Most of us weren’t even musicians at the time. So, the idea was simultaneously a commitment to study and learn music. So, the “experiment” was successful, and we started playing in bars and other gigs. Sadly, we had a huge break (little less than 15 years) but in 2013 we started playing again. Five years later we had our first album “Changes”.

What type of music did you listen to while growing up?

The 90’s was a period in which Greek rock/punk music was thriving. Of course, we were all into hard rock and heavy metal, but alternative rock and punk made a difference. We were so much into the audacity of the music and lyrics, that the love for punk was inevitable. Beginning with “The Wipers”, “The Pixies”, “Nirvana” and “Dead Moon”, the list could be long. But as we said earlier, we never forgot the rock roots (The Doors, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and so many other).

What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?

Fun stories, in Studio. Nah! The truth is that while rehearsing, jamming, composing, or recording, we try to be as professional as we can. On the other hand, there are lots of funny things while playing LIVE.

About a year ago we were having a small concert. One of the songs on that playlist is performed by our rhythm guitarist and not by the lead singer. So, we started playing the intro, and then the lyrics came. But, not in English. In Greek. His decision was impromptu. The rest of us thought that Chris (the guitarist) wanted to say something to the crowd. We almost stopped playing! But what happened after the song was hilarious. One man from the audience approached Chris and told him: I liked your singing, but I enjoyed your English accent more. It was like I knew the language!

What is your latest song or album you can share with us?

During the last 4 months we have been composing our new album. Soon we will start recording it. The name of the album is “Where you’ve never been before”. Some tracks can be found at our YouTube channel.
