Penned by producer Bryan Cole, the song idea spawned with Graciela in mind as a reflection of her youthful, vibrant spirit.
“Graciela has fabulous energy and a natural ear,” said “Seize The Day” songwriter and producer Bryan Cole. “For a young woman, and the first time recording with her, I was impressed by her contributions to add her creative vision and dynamics. We produced the track with subtle nuances to ‘move’ the listener—spiritually, emotionally, or to jump to their feet and dance.”
The synth-pop opener combines vintage sounds (Donna Summer/Madonna) with contemporary nuances (Lady Gaga/Dua Lipa) that keep time with stair-stepping keys to assemble the forward-charging musical march. Graciela’s bubbly vocals are livened by the atmospheric production.
“The storyline encourages listeners to ‘go for it;’ because you only live once,” Graciela added. “That’s kind of my personal motto, so I was immediately drawn to the lyrics and the upbeat melody.“
