NEW EP ‘OUTSET – AUGUST 14^TH, 2020

A true force to be reckoned with and an artist at the top of his game, indie-pop singer-songwriter DAVIDLY bursts back onto the scene with his four track EP ‘Outset’, dropping August 14^th. DAVIDLY creates powerful material that genuinely connects to his listeners, largely due to the dedication, conviction, and commitment that can be heard in every word he sings. Hailing from Vancouver Washington, DAVIDLY has always been drumming, playing guitar and making songs for as long as he can remember. After hearing Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” DAVIDLY knew he wanted a career in music. His goal is to create music that inspires people to believe in themselves and to have fun along the way and is always reminding his fans ‘everyone can be a superhero’.

Releasing within the EP is the lead single ‘Me and Myself’. Speaking more on the track, DAVIDLY explained: The song Me and Myself is about learning to love ourselves so we can love others. It’s an emotive realization that we can be our worst enemy and our best friend. What inspired me was that we all have a war going on inside our heads, and no one talks about it. Social media wants us to act normal and project ourselves as happy 24/7 when in reality, this is not the case. I desired authenticity, a way to tell people: “Its okay you feel this way, you are heard and you will get through this, because you are awesome.” That’s what this song is about…fighting the wars inside ourselves to come out stronger, love ourselves deeper, and love others more. The meaning behind the lyrics echo’s these thoughts and feelings, making the Chorus seem like a battle chant, and the verses a smoother emotive feeling.

While DAVIDLY produces thoughtful, heartfelt music, he balances out this professionalism by never taking life too seriously and entertaining his fans across his socials.  Through humour, charismatic vocals, and emotive lyrics, DAVIDLY is set to take over the music scene in 2020. With ‘Outset’ set to drop August 14^th, he’s one to watch.
