INDIE Live Expo 2022 Featured World Premieres, Surprise Launches, More Than 400 Games

TOKYO – May 22, 2022 – INDIE Live Expo 2022, the two-day live digital showcase connecting indie game fans all over the world, highlighted more than 400 games across a two-day event, featuring world premieres, new trailers, surprise launches, and more.

 

INDIE Live Expo 2022 featured multiple world premieres across both days. INTI Creates showed off a new trailer ahead of the Thursday, July 28 release date for Azure Striker GUNVOLT 3, the long-awaited continuation of the GUNVOLT series. CHORUS Interactive and MidBoss showcased a new trailer for Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER, the next entry in the cyberpunk point-and-click adventure series enjoyed by more than half a million sleuths.

 

Some developers took part in both days, with developer Pocketpair announcing a new update for its celebrated multiplayer survival action game Craftopia on DAY 1. They followed up on DAY 2 with an INDIE Live Premiere of a new trailer for Palworld, the multiplayer, open-world survival crafting game whose provocative reveal trailer made a splash at INDIE Live Expo 2021.

 

Lost Epic, the 2D Souls-like side-scrolling action RPG with fast-paced battles and hack-and-slash elements from publisher One or Eight and developer Team EARTH WARS, revealed a new Early Access update on DAY 1, followed by a Thursday, July 28 launch on PlayStation 5|4 and Steam for PC.

 

PLAYISM delivered several reveals across both days, including the surprise Early Access launch of The Use of Life, a gamebook-style RPG with multiple endings from developer Daraneko Games. PLAYISM also revealed the surprise Steam launch of DRAINUS, the new game from Team Ladybug (Touhou Luna Nights, Record of Lodoss War -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth-). TOKOYO: The Tower of Perpetuity, the daily dungeon-crawling action-platformer from developer //commentout, graduates from Steam Early Access and premieres on Nintendo Switch on Thursday, June 2.

 

WSS playground announced the Tuesday, October 27 Nintendo Switch release date of NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD, the streamer simulation psychological horror game, which sold more than 450,000 copies on Steam. Developer ginolabo announced Deckbuilding JRPG SOULVARS will release on PC and console, and revealed a new title in the series: SOULVARS FATAL ERROR.

 

Other reveals included Meg’s Monster from Fishing Paradiso developer Odencat; the Early Access launch of KUUKIYOMI: Consider It! ONLINE, the release date and tournament announcement for FAMILY BATTLE TAG ARENA; the reveal of BOKURA; new information for Goonya Monster; and a feature of Super Bullet Break, set to be published by the UK-based PQube.

 

INDIE Live Expo 2022 also featured new trailers for Midnight Fight Express and OVERLORD: ESCAPE FROM NAZARICK, each set to release in Q3 2022. Inscryption, Nour: Play With Your Food, and The13th Month each received special mention in the INDIE Pick-Up segment, as nominated by media outlets over the world.
