Immersive Nutcracker San Antonio Review

Immersive Nutcracker was such a fun experience for the whole family. We were able to experience the Nutcracker in a way that many haven’t seen before. The Immersive Nutcracker provided an exciting 360 degree view of the story and brought to life images that are just astonishing. We were able to go to the Lighthouse Artspace in San Antonio to check out the Immersive Nutcracker. The venue was unique as it had a ton of Van Gough art as well as Nutcracker items.

We took a few photos here:

We were able to scan our tickets from my phone and we settled into our seats inside the theater! When you walk in, you breath will be taken away. The beauty of the scenes all around you was something you would have never seen before. You will your time walking to your seats as you take in the scenery around you. I have done a review below of the show but if you have a chance, be sure to buy you and your family tickets to the show. You will be taken into a journey of the Nutcracker that you have never seen before!

Here is the review:

Pro:

  • Production
    • The production for the Immersive Nutcracker was amazing! The 360 degree view of the show was astonishing with every different degree provided a view for the show. For the next 40 minutes, I saw children dancing to the music and people with smiles wide on their faces. The production featured both a live action with individuals in the ballet part to the animated scenes that was so cool.
  • Music
    • The music was fantastic throughout the show as it featured an orchestra led ensemble. You hear familiar musical works that they implemented to heighten certain scenes of the show. During the main fight, that music was so intense and raw that you felt you were there in the battle.
  • Story
    • Many people know the story of the Nutcracker, but my children attending the event didn’t know the full story. The show brought the story to life without any words spoken but with various scenes and expressions. My children were able to catch on to what is going on and cheer the Nutcracker as he was in battle with the evil rat.
