Movie Games is excited to reveal Image Games, a new video game development studio established together with the production and post-production house Platige Image. The new company will produce AA video games that will comply with Platige Image’s highest visual and narrative standards.

Image Games will produce 3 crime-themed games set in different periods of history. The studio will combine Movie Games’ production and publishing background with Platige Image’s know-how in animation and the area of movie and serialized show IPs.

We aim to make Image Games a standout studio known for games with engaging stories, thrilling gameplay, and animations worthy of the silver screen. The genre of period crime stories is perfect to realize this vision. We’ll reveal more about our developments soon, with the announcement of our first title,” said Piotr Gnyp, Chief Marketing Officer at Movie Games.
Platige Image has had more than 20 years of experience in the area of 3D visuals and animation. It’s known for its cinematics for the world’s most famous video games. These include Outriders, Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War & Warzone, Total War: Warhammer III, The Division 2, Metro: Exodus, and many more.

The production house is also famous for its VFX work, including Netflix’s The Witcher. The studio has received such esteemed recognitions as BAFTA, European Film Award, Goya Award, or SIGGRAPH Awards.

Mateusz Wcześniak, CEO, Movie Games
“We are excited to work with Platige Image under Image Games. Establishing the new company will enable us to expand in the segment of AA titles and achieve a significantly higher scope of development and production.”

Karol Żbikowski, Chairman of the Board, Platige Image
“For Platige Image, starting a cooperation with Movie Games was a natural step. We’ve very happy about it and we’re certain that the result of combining our assets will be games refined both artistically and technically, providing the fans with lots of quality entertainment.”

For Movie Games, this is yet another expansion into the area of AA games. In March, during Future Games Show, the company revealed War Hospital, a unique society survival game about controlling a British field hospital at the Eastern Front of World War I. Movie Games is a co-producer and the global publisher for the title.

The company also announced a real-time tactics game Fire Commander, and a toned-down version of Lust from Beyond, a mature-only Lovecraftian esoteric/erotic horror with a “Very Postiive” user review score on Steam.
