How to Win: Season One Steam Review

I have an open mind when I first start to play a game so I can learn more about the story, art, and characters. I like to learn a lot about the game to figure out a strategy to master each level! I never thought I would to throw all that out of the window to play a game where your influence decides the situation. The situation has a lot of similarities to what many have experienced in the year 2020! How to Win is a game that takes the chaos of 2020 and gives you an alternate look of what you may believe and may not believe is going on in everyone’s mind!

How to Win: Season 1 is a 5 chapter game where you decide what happens from the situation in each chapter! You use many of 2020’s events to make a choice of what happens in your own online world. I was able to sit down on my desk to play this game on my laptop. I have to say this game is addicting, fun and hilarious! You will laugh and feel emotional when one decision that you make influences the world around you in that chapter!

Here is the review:

Pro:

  • Witty
    • I haven’t laughed hard in a while! I haven’t laughed while playing a game in a while! I haven’t laughed much in general! I was giggling like a school girl while playing this game! The jokes were so witty yet so many puns in there that I had to really think if that is a joke or something that is true.
  • Educational
    • When you read a book or an article, you are given just a small glimpse of what a truth can be. This game brought the truth to you in a way that your having fun learning. Education is often boring to some but when you involve a game or attention getter, many will learn from the words spoken. How to Win gave you glimpses of what has happened to our country back in 2020 and how manipulation is big time real out there.
  • Winning Suggestions
    • I never thought random polls with random people who have random answers can bring about a game involving thinking and fun situations. I enjoyed learning each topic’s original choices were before a winning one was chosen. Once the winning one was chosen, then chaos erupted from the minds of the developer of this game and my own mind as well. The choices made influenced the game big time!

Con:

  • Short
    • I know this is just season 1 for the game but I wanted more chapters. I felt that only having 5 chapters was short but you can always replay the game and make some choices that you didn’t do before.

Rating: 8 out of 10
