LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY, NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND & TOKYO, JAPAN – June 11th, 2024 – Gun Interactive & Black Tower Studios have been putting in the work to continuously update The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The last few updates saw Gun put out a nighttime version of Nancy’s House Map with weather effects, alongside two new outfits for Family members Johnny and Nancy. Their new patch cadence has them delivering some juicy content—including new Outfit Packs, a new Execution Pack, and new characters—at a consistent rate.
The June 11th patch for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre continues to give players what they want, with a new Family Member, Hands, and new Victim, Maria. Hands is brought to life through motion-capture by Robert Mukes of House of 1000 Corpses fame and voiced by Aaron LaPlante. With a backstory that’s comfortably nestled into the lore of TCSM, Hands is a brute who can barge Victims and deliver devastating blows with his hammer. With his ability Ripstall he’ll be able to alter gameplay by physically ripping out valves and fuses, as well as being able to start the generator or battery quickly.
Maria, the Definitive Final Girl of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, is alive (thank goodness!) and her Victim character is now available alongside Hands. She was being kept alive because of Grandpa, with his affinity towards her perhaps being some sort of past connection.
Her Star Sign Ability is called Sweet Talk and flips the script on how Grandpa’s ability works. When Maria Sweet Talks it causes Grandpa’s Sonar ability to highlight Family members, instead of Victims, to gain an advantage on them. Her ability can be modified through her ability tree such as having Grandpa highlight Family members in close proximity to him, reduce Grandpa’s level by 1, and reduce cooldown times.
