MIAMI, FL (August 3, 2023) – The internationally beloved norteño group who has taken the world by storm, Grupo Frontera, releases their highly anticipated freshman album “El Comienzo.” After kicking off their musical careers in early 2022, Grupo Frontera members Adelaido Solís, Brian Ortega, Julian Peña Jr., Alberto Acosta, Carlos Guerrero and Juan Javier Cantu have distinguished themselves as the number one musica Mexicana group. “El Comienzo” displays Grupo Frontera’s distinctive charm and enchanting musical style with a fusion of genres including norteño and cumbia, along with other surprises. After a year and half of bonafide hits, Grupo Frontera releases their first full length album “El Comienzo.” Complete with 12 tracks, their freshman album features some of Grupo Frontera’s previously released hits like the number one chart-topping “un x100to” with Bad Bunny, the heart wrenching “Que Vuelvas” with Carin Leon and the recently released breakup cumbia “Ojitos Rojos” alongside prolific Argentine group Ke Personajes.
Known for their powerhouse collaborations, the album also features some new songs alongside some heavy hitters including the norteño breakup ballad “En Altavoz” with Junior H, the charming pop tune “Las Flores” with the captivating sibling trio Yahritza Y Su Esencia and the album’s focus track “El Amor De Su Vida” alongside Grupo Firme about the very relatable feeling of jealousy when your ex finds the love of their life.
“El Comienzo” features some new original songs that blend traditional instruments with modern elements, creating an exhilarating sound. These new songs also illuminate the diversity and richness of musica Mexicana, firmly establishing Grupo Frontera as trailblazers in the genre. “Cansado De Sufrir” is a soul-stirring song that tells the story of someone tired of suffering after a relationship has ended. The romantic “Me Gustas” is an enchanting track about a man listing all of the things he likes about his crush. Another original, “Cuidala,” is a country song that illuminates the compassion of one who ultimately wants someone to take care of their ex and treat them the way they deserve to be treated.
