GRUPO FRONTERA BRINGS DOWN THE HOUSE IN MCALLEN, TX DURING TWO SOLD OUT SHOWS IN THEIR HOMETOWN TO CONCLUDE THEIR SECOND U.S. TOUR

October 8, 2024 (McAllen, Texas) – Over the weekend, Grupo Frontera took over their hometown of McAllen, TX with two unbelievable SOLD OUT shows at the Bert Ogden Arena which concluded their incredible second U.S. tour. Fans packed the house to witness their “Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada” tour inclusive of their original commentary and film-like interludes which included a one-of-a-kind collaboration with The Transformers franchise and a surprise appearance by Eugenio Derbez. Plus, they surprised the audience with several surprise guests including Grupo FirmeDueloYahritza Y Su EsenciaDe ParrandaLeonardo Aguilar and Bobby Pulido.

On Saturday evening before taking the stage for the first night of their sold out “Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada” tour at Bert Ogden Arena, the group crashed a local wedding to surprise the lucky couple with the ultimate wedding gift – a performance by Grupo Frontera. With an electric energy, they performed their most recent single “Hecha Pa’ Mi,” the romantic “El Amor De Su Vida” and their beloved classic “No Se Va” for the newlyweds and their guests, leaving everyone speechless and transforming an already magical evening into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

On the thrilling opening night in their hometown, they paid tribute to their roots, welcoming fellow valley band De Parranda, who brought the crowd to life with their infectious energy performing fan favorites “Ya Me Entere” and “Echandote de Menos.” The show continued to captivate audiences with the arrival of Leonardo Aguilar, who joined them for a special performance of “Aca Entre Nos,” and Yahritza y Su Esencia wowed audiences as they commanded the stage with Grupo Frontera to sing their hit “Fragil.”

During the second night, they welcomed another valley local, Duelo who performed “Malabares” and “Raro Que Vuelvas,” setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Valley legend Bobby Pulido also made a triumphant appearance to perform his infamous hit “Desvelado“, exemplifying the spirit of collaboration and celebration that Grupo Frontera embodies. The excitement reached a fever pitch as Yahritza y su Esencia returned to sing a powerful rendition of “Fragil” alongside Grupo Frontera, filling fan’s hearts and reaffirming the group’s commitment to uplifting their genre and embracing fellow artists.

To round out their second SOLD OUT show and close out the second U.S. tour, Grupo Firme took the stage with Grupo Frontera for a breathtaking performance of their Billboard number one hit song “El Amor De Su Vida.” The atmosphere crackled with fervor as they also delivered crowd favorites “El Beneficio de la Duda” and “Calidad,” solidifying their remarkable success on this U.S. leg and leaving audiences buzzing with anticipation for what’s to come.

After touring over 30 cities across the United States, Grupo Frontera will proceed to commence the Mexico leg of their tour including stops in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and more. Fresh off of their first-ever Latin GRAMMY nominations, with their touring LP Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada scoring a nomination for “Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album” and “Top Latin Album of the Year” for their debut album El Comienzo, the band continues their meteoric rise to fame. Since El Comienzo, which amassed an impressive 2.8 billion streams in under a year and recently earned seven 2024 Latin Billboard nominations including “Regional Mexican Album of the Year” and “Top Latin Album of the Year,” the group has achieved numerous career milestones.
