GROUNDHOG DAY JUMPS INTO DEG’S “WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20”

Punxsutawney Phil showed himself on DEG’s “Watched at Home Top 20” last week, with holiday classic Groundhog Day debuting at No. 7. It joined pandemic thriller Songbird and romantic drama Wild Mountain Thyme as the new titles for the week, while the family drama Let Him Go made a big jump to No. 2, from No. 14, for the only change in the Top 5. Let Him Go is Kevin Costner’s fourth title on the Top 20, with seasons one, two and three of Yellowstone holding strong after months on the chart.

DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
