greenTEG AG celebrates the CES 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree for Wearable Technologies.

Zurich, Switzerland, November 10, 2021 – Today, greenTEG has been named a CES® 2022 Innova- tion Awards Honoree for the CORE Body Temperature Monitor – in the Wearable Technologies cate- gory. This year’s CES Innovation Awards program received a record high number of over 1800 submis- sions. This announcement was made ahead of CES 2022, the world’s most influential technology event, taking place Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas, NV and digitally.

The CORE sensor is a compact unit that clips securely onto a chest strap or medical adhesive patch. It measures core body temperature metrics live and continuously while recording data directly onto your phone, watch, or (sports-) computer.

CORE is built with an advanced, Swiss-made thermal energy transfer sensor that delivers measure- ments with medical-grade accuracy. It is the only wearable solution that allows users to capture highly accurate core body temperature data without the need for an ingested or inserted thermometer.

Continuous tracking of core body temperature is important for patient monitoring, fever monitoring, workforce safety, sleep tracking, fertility monitoring, disease pattern recognition, and sports.

Two daily situations where CORE is used for Wearable applications

This Swiss-made non-invasive sensing technology is specifically designed to deliver real-time, remote, and accurate Core Body Temperature monitoring data for Wearable Technologies. CORE has been enthusiastically embraced by athletes competing at the Olympics and during the Tour de France. Here, this technology is used to optimize the performance of athletes and make strategic decisions during competitions. In Tokyo’s 2021 Olympics, at least six gold medalists in several cycling disciplines, triath- lon, and volleyball employed CORE to prepare themselves for the severe climate conditions of the summer experienced in Japan.

What makes the CORE an innovative solution for Wearable Technologies?

CORE is a based upon a unique thermal energy transfer sensing technology patented by greenTEG AG. Linked to the monitored thermal energy change over time and a proprietary AI-based algorithm, CORE computes core body temperature in real-time, with medical accuracy. This compact, mass-pro- duced, and waterproof sensor is easy to integrate for any use case and is finding its way into many Wearable Technologies applications.

Visitors to CES 2022 will be able to discover greenTEG’s innovative Core Body Temperature monitoring technology for which the company has actually been honored with CES® 2022 Innovation Awards in three categories: Wearable Technologies, Health & Wellness, and Fitness & Sports.

Dr. Lukas Durrer, CTO & co-Founder @ greenTEG concludes:

These three CES Innovation Awards are a testament to our work and to greenTEG’s commitment over the last years to combine the best of design and technology, to support Wearable Technologies appli- cations. We are looking forward to sharing our unique technology at our booth in Las Vegas @CES 2022!”.

During the CES we will invite Press and selected CES visitors to join our team in person for demo events and social gatherings. More details to be announced in December.
