Melbourne, September 16th 2019 – After a successful inaugural event in 2018, Great Games Done Slow 2 (http://greatgamesdoneslow.com) is well underway, and will feature a variety of streamers raising funds for mental health awareness through to September 28th.

Great Games Done Slow is a fundraising event raising money for mental health charity CheckPoint. Streamers, friends and content creators from all over the world will come together to show how games can be used for positive wellbeing. Free wellbeing resources will be provided to streamers and their audiences, and will be changing lives by improving the mental health of the gaming community.

What makes Games Done Slow unique is its twist – participants are encouraged to integrate wellbeing and peaceful play into their streams. They can find new ways to make a classic game meditative, explore the most relaxing games out there, or create worlds at their own pace.

This year’s lineup is looking incredible, with the likes of BaerTaffyZer0Doxy and CheckPoint board member Alanah Pearce all locked in. Streamers are still welcome to sign up now via Tiltify (https://tiltify.com/checkpoint/ggds2).

Proceeds from the event go to CheckPoint, a charity that connects mental health resources with video games. They have a pro-mental health gaming group, a webseries, conduct research, and provide many free resources to help people struggling with mental illness.
